Google tests redesigned sidebar for Maps on Android Auto

Google is reportedly testing an updated sidebar for its Maps service on Android Auto. This new design will display map controls and zoom controls constantly. It will also allow users to access various control settings of the map directly from the sidebar. The sidebar is expected to fade in and out of view instead of showing a few floating buttons, and disappear when not in use.

This despite the fact I’ve been supporting decentralized software, as a counterweight or at least alternative to the growing power of governments and megacorps, for years now .
